|
How much will it cost ?
Our prices normally start at just £545. This would be for a local party and include a full pig cooked and served for you with crackling, stuffing, plenty of fresh rolls, on paper plates with apple sauce. Prices will vary according to distance, date, number of guests and menu.
How many people can you cater for?
We have provided a hog roast for a dinner party of 30 guests, and have no upper limit, as we have facilities to cook several pigs
What about food standards / hygiene?
We have our own hand washing facilities, all our staff are qualified in food hygiene, we are registered with and annually inspected by Melton Borough Council. Our companies recently attained the highest award, three stars, from the EHO.
Can you come to an indoor venue?
Yes. We present the pig on a stainless hot plate on our purpose made stand. Our unique methods mean there is minimal mess - unlike messy spit roasters. Most of our hog roasts will be served indoors.
Some of our guests may not eat pork?
No problem, we can cook some beef, venison, turkey, vegetarian - just ask us and we'll find a solution
Do you need power?
No. Our ovens and hot plate utilise propane, which we supply. We may need you to provide lighting.
How long will you serve for?
Normally, about two hours. This gives everyone chance to come back for seconds! Any pork that is left, we will leave on platters, along with any remaining bread rolls.
How do you get the pork to taste so good?
Sorry, it's a secret! but, our pigs are locally born and reared. They are fed as natural a diet as possible and play outside alot! Our cooking and basting methods remain a closely guarded secret....!
Why don't you use a spit machine to cook the pigs?
Spit roasters can only cook very small pigs ( no chance of seconds then!), and tend to burn the outside of the pig leaving the inside raw. We have many customers who agree the meat tastes much better our way. We know it's safer too!
What if I can't decide whether to have a carvery or a hog roast?
The important thing is to book the date. Summer weekends get booked up early- the menu can be confirmed nearer the time.
Why should we hire you?
Trust our testimonials. The majority of our customers have been guests at another of our hog roasts. The taste and service speak for themselves.
What payment methods can I use?
|
We also accept cheque, BACS payments and cash. |
Do you store customer payment details?
No. We do not keep your credit and debit card details.
What is the cancellation policy?
Customers receive a booking form detailling the service required. The client then pays a non-refundable deposit. If the booking is subsequently cancelled by the client, the deposit will not be refunded ( in certain cases we may retain it as a deposit towards a future job for that client). If the booking is cancelled within 3 weeks of the intended date, then the full amount outstanding must be paid.
What is your refund policy?
Any refund is at the discretion of the management. Any applications for refunds must be made in writing within 7 days of receipt of service.
Why do you need a refund and cancellation policy?
inorder that we can accept card payments, we need all this extra stuff to be on the website!
